Effective, classroom management is a critical part of any learning environment but it is essential in the early learning classroom to maximize shared and individual learning opportunities. In “Eva’s Management”, Ms. Eva, the Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, has established, models, and reinforces key student environmental and instructional routines with her PreK 3 and 4-year old students. In this section, pay special attention to how Ms. Eva uses “attention scopes” to re-focus students and support the leadership of a student helper during an whole group learning routine.
