How did you know that you wanted to teach early learners:
I have always wanted to be a teacher since a young age. I was raised seeing my mom as a prime educator example in my life, since she herself was an educator.
I have always had a passion for children and always hope I can help better their lives.
What are a few “non-negotiables” of your early learning classroom (kinda your educational philosophy)?:
I find it essential for my classroom to be a zone of active learning. No work sheets!!!
From day one the students are being immersed into making anchor charts during group time, touching, sharing, reading, laughing and creating.
A philosophy, my classroom lives by is students learning through play and learning center areas where they can develop academic, social and oral knowledge.
What is something that you want us to know about you as a teacher of young children?:
I find myself to be a very welcoming and goal-oriented teacher. I always make my classroom into a community where the student and I can grow and challenge ourselves to learn and do better.
Anything else you would like your viewers to know?:
They are welcome to visit my classroom :)
